Senior IPS Harcharan Singh Bhullar Took Charge as SSP Patiala
Today IPS Harcharan Singh Bhullar took charge as SSP Patiala. Mr. Bhullar solicited the cooperation of the people of Patiala district for the prevention of drugs and crime including maintaining law and order.
The police officers who welcomed new SSP Mr. Bhullar, included SP (H) Harkamal Kaur, SP (PBI), Kesar Singh, SP (Traffic & Security) Palwinder Singh Cheema. Dsp HQ Gurdev Singh Dhaliwal PPS, DSP City-1 Hemant Kumar, DSP Special And Criminal Branch Patiala Sh. Krishan Kumar Panthe, PPS, DSP Investigation Patiala Mohhit Kumar, PPS, DSP Samana Jaswindar Singh Chahal PPS, DSP SPECIAL PBI/NDPS Cum Narcotics Patiala Sh. Surjit Singh PPS, DSP City-2 Patiala Saurav Jindal, PPS, DSP Rajpura Rural Jaswinder Singh PPS, DSP Rural Patiala Sukhmindar Singh Chauhan, PPS, DSP Traffic Rajesh Sanehi PPS and Other Officials. Meanwhile, Mr. Bhullar met senior police officials of the district and closely reviewed the policing of the district. Earlier, a contingent of police given a guard of honor to the new SSP.
Mr. Harcharan Singh Bhullar, before joining Patiala office, has served as Joint Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab. Earlier, he has also served as SSP in Jagraon (Ludhiana Rural), Barnala, Sangrur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Khanna, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur and SAS Nagar Mohali.
Mr Harcharan Singh Bhullar said that as per the directions of Punjab Chief Minister S. Charanjit Singh Channi, intensive monitoring would be conducted by Patiala Police to curb the spread of crime and drugs.
He said That drug de-addiction camps would be organized to save the youth who have fallen prey to the drugs and legal action would be taken against the drug smugglers by putting them behind bars.
He said that co-operation of the people was essential to maintain law and order and maintain a crime free district so if any citizen has any information about any anti social element or drug smuggler then it must be shared with the police. It will be kept secret and the bad elements will be dealt with strictly.
Mr. Bhullar further said that Patiala Police will always be at their service to make district crime and anti-social activities free and Patiala Police would act as friend to public as Police Personnel are also a part of the society. Mr. Bhullar Said That Apart from this, the doors of his office are also open to the general public and they can also come to him to get resolve their problems.
